Qian'an City, located in the northeast of Hebei Province, China, and administered by Tangshan City, is an important industrial and resource-based city in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. Located at the southern foot of Yanshan Mountain and along the Luan River, it has a total area of about 1,208 square kilometers and a population of over 700,000 people. As one of the top 100 counties in China, Qian'an is famous for its iron and steel industry, with large-scale enterprises such as Shougang Qiangang and other prominent economic strength.
Qian'an has a long history, with human activities as early as the Neolithic Age, and is one of the legendary places of the former capital of the Yellow Emperor. There are cultural attractions such as the ruins of the Great Wall and Baiyangyu, and intangible cultural heritages such as paper-cutting and shadow play are abundant. The city emphasizes on ecological construction, and was once awarded the title of "National Garden City". Huangtai Lake Park and Shanyekou Scenic Spot show the beauty of nature.
Qian'an's economy is dominated by iron and steel, as well as equipment manufacturing and tourism. With convenient transportation, the Beijing-Harbin Expressway and Beijing-Qin Railway running through the city and about 200 kilometers away from Beijing and Tianjin, Qian'an is an important node connecting North China and Northeast China. In the future, Qian'an is promoting industrial transformation, developing a green economy and enhancing regional influence.
