Introduction to Reunion Entre-Deux
Entre-Deux is a commune in the southwestern part of the island of Réunion in the French Overseas Department of France, situated in the plateau basin between the two major cities of Saint-Pierre and Saint-Louis. Entre-Deux" means "between the two" in French, which vividly reflects its geographical characteristics. At an altitude of about 500 meters, the town is known for its traditional Creole architecture, its terraced coffee plantations and its cool highland climate.
Natural and human characteristics
Onteld has a large number of traditional Creole homes with colorful wood-reinforced walls and is known as one of the "most beautiful Creole villages". It is surrounded by herb plantations and forest trails with views of the Indian Ocean. Onteld is about an hour's drive from the capital, St. Denis, passing the active volcano of Furness on the way.
