Introduction to St. Denis de Réunion
St. Denis is the capital of the French overseas department of Réunion, located in the northern part of the island of Réunion in the Mascarene Islands in the southwestern Indian Ocean. As the political, economic and cultural center of the island, Saint-Denis has a population of approximately 150,000 and is known for its distinctive colonial architecture, tropical landscapes and multicultural fusion.
