The Réunion Prueil is not a separate country or city, but an important river in the French overseas department of Réunion Island. Located in the eastern part of Reunion Island, the Prueil River originates from the island's volcanic mountains and eventually empties into the Indian Ocean, and is famous for the lush rainforests and waterfalls that surround it. The river region is part of the Reunion Island National Natural Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a popular destination for eco-tourism and hiking adventures.
The Prueye River basin is covered with steep volcanic terrain and dense vegetation, creating a unique biodiversity hotspot. The river runs through canyons and forests that support many species endemic to Réunion, such as chameleons and rare birds. Due to the abundant precipitation, the river is full of water, often creating rapids and waterfalls that attract nature lovers to view and photograph.
Visitors can experience Réunion's nature and culture by hiking along the Prouille River, backtracking or visiting nearby villages. The area has excellent infrastructure and offers guided tours for exploring volcanic landscapes and tropical ecosystems. Be aware that the rainy season can cause flooding and it is advisable to check weather conditions in advance.
