Huachuan County is located in the northeastern part of China's Heilongjiang Province, under the jurisdiction of Jiamusi City, on the south bank of the lower reaches of the Songhua River. The county has a total area of 2,260 square kilometers and a population of about 200,000, mainly Han Chinese, including Manchu, Korean and other ethnic minorities. With a temperate continental monsoon climate and four distinct seasons, Huachuan County is rich in agricultural resources and is one of the most important commercial grain bases in Heilongjiang Province, mainly producing rice, corn and soybeans.
Huachuan County has a long history and was established as early as the Qing Dynasty. The name of the place comes from the natural characteristic of the luxuriant birch trees in the area. The economy is dominated by agriculture, but in recent years it has gradually developed the processing of agricultural products and the green food industry, while relying on the water resources of the Songhua River to promote fisheries and tourism. Local specialties include "Huachuan Rice" and other brands, with a focus on eco-agriculture and sustainable development.
Huachuan County is rich in natural landscapes, such as the Songhua River wetlands and forest resources, which are suitable for eco-tourism and outdoor activities. Culturally, the area retains some traditional Manchu customs and festivals. Conveniently connected to neighboring cities by road and rail, it is an important node in the eastern part of Heilongjiang Province.
