Mao County, Sichuan, China
Located in the southeast of Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province, Mao County is in the transition zone from the Tibetan Plateau to the Western Sichuan Plain, and is the main settlement area of the Qiang people, known as the "Qiang Township of China". It has a long history and a rich Qiang culture, with unique Qiang fortress towers, Qiang embroidery, sheepskin drums and other intangible cultural heritage, Qiang New Year, Qiang flute playing and other customs are included in the national list of intangible cultural heritage.
